Video: Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center – Kenya

A fun thing to do in Kenya is to visit the David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi. It’s a wonderful place to see elephants up close, but in a responsible way. Tourists are blocked off from engaging with the animals, they can observe only. The sanctuary is dedicated to preserving and protecting elephants until they’re able to be released back into the wild. In addition, they care for rhinos, and have been involved in funding anti-poaching efforts.

Another must see place in the Giraffe Center, which isn’t too far from David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage. Watch as Heather Newgen gets a kiss from one of the giraffes.
